Pearson to Move
K-12 Publishing to Boston
Pearson Education
plans to move its K-12 school publishing group -- and 500 jobs -- from
Needham, Massachusetts to Boston next spring, as a way to take advantage
of the city's relationship as a publishing center. Pearson will relocate
its School Publishing Group to The Newbry, the landmark building formerly
known as the New England Life Building, in Back Bay. The relocation
enlarges the Boston footprint of the company's influential publishing
businesses. With this move, Pearson Education will have 1,200 Boston-based
employees, including 700 in Pearson's Higher Education Group located

Hurricanes Affect
TAA Offices
Hurricane Jeanne
wreaked havoc on TAA's offices in Tampa, Florida last week. "It

TAA Office Manager Janet Tucker. "There are trees everywhere." Although
Tampa missed the worst of the storms that ravaged Florida, its effect
is still being felt there. Tucker was forced to evacuate twice because
of the hurricanes, but is now back at work.
